It Was An Accident

~ A Poem ~

I have waited in anticipation
A driver license my elation
I practiced with determination
I studied with frustration

Parents thought wait till graduation
Parents and I have conservation
We agree with limitation
To my jubilant excitation

Pass the test with congratulation
They explain my obligation
I applaud their dedication
They still have reservation

Free at last great sensation
I am on probation
An accident is my annihilation
Not hurt ask salvation

Not my fault navigation
Police offer collaboration
Mom asks hospitalization
I show appreciation

Dad needs explanation
Mom tells situation
There is no litigation
As for me public transportation
